WHO'S TO BLAME WHEN OUR KIDS ARE FAILING IN EDUCATION,SOCIETY,ETC??? DO WE BLAME THE TEACHERS, OURSELVES, TELEVISON, ETC??? THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A TOUCHY SUBJECT AND RIGHTFULLY SO BUT WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO STEP UP AND OWN UP???
It starts in the home and extends beyond the home into the school, the street, and society.... Parents must instill values, morals and principles into their children before you send them out in this world so when the time comes to make that "choice" they will do it standing on some foundation..... But when there is no foundation to stand on they always end up falling......
Well you know how I feel about this one...ANY foundation whether good or bad starts at home. I think that its a parent's responsibility to ensure the appropriate foundation is set. Speaking as a parent, I can't blame anyone but myself if little Tommy aint going to school...I can't blame anyone else but myself if I know as a parent, my child needs help and I do nothing about it. Yeah the "free" educational systems in America for the most part provide sub-standard education to our youth...but a lot of us have thrived and become successful with what we had to work with...I know I'm straying away from the topic..lol...but a tree can't grow without a solid foundation...
Setting a foundation is, always was, and always will be the job of the parents! It is the responsibility of the parents to teach morals, values, love, respect, honesty, etc... to our children! If we allow them to do whatever they want to do in the home, then they will feel they can do anything they want to everywhere else! If they don't respect the home, they will respect nothing! As a parent and an educator, parents need to take far more responsibility than they do now! Also, society needs to go back to the days when parents were allowed to parent! Society in a way, has limited the right of parents to parent, thus, we have out of control, disrespectful children running around who fear nothing! We have also lost our sense of community, which was vital to the upbringing of our children! There was a time when Ms. Domita could see your kid doing something wrong, she could beat his ass, send him upstairs and when you came home, you beat him too. Those days are gone!! Many parents don't want to acknowledge that they may need help or they live in denial about their children! This makes it hard for those parents who are handling their business and teaching their children to do the right thing! So, I want to know, what can we do to fix this?
